Where to have Sex: A Serious Logistical Problem with Non Monogamy

Early in my non monogamy, I was pretty sure that other non monogamous guys were the ideal sex partners. Being in the same situation as me, I figured they would get the lifestyle, the difficulties, the jealousies, the perks and so on. So I made a point to go out specifically with guys that were also non monogamous. But after I met a really nice guy who fit the bill, I discovered one pretty major downside to dating a non monogamous partner: where to have sex?

You see, although this guy and I were great together, we had one major problem — each of us had a house full of kids and spouses. While we enjoyed our weekly date, both the emotional connection and the sex, there was simply never the possibility of going back to “my place” or “his place” after a date. And not having a bed to have sex in turned out to be a big problem.

Because we didn’t have a place to go back to, finding somewhere to have sex required some serious creativity. We tried sex in a ol’ timer RV and sex on the beach. We took advantage of the very (very) rare occasions when our spouses and kids were out of the house for a few hours. But our go-to became the back of his car.
